The answers below address common questions about the DERAVIA consultation process. Your personal skin condition, suitability, and treatment plan can only be determined following a physician assessment.

01

Appointments & Initial Assessment

General information about your first dermatology visit and the request process.

What should I expect at my first dermatology appointment?

At your initial visit, your physician will assess your skin or scalp, review your concerns, and discuss your expectations. The aim is to understand your condition and establish an appropriate framework for care. Treatment may not be planned on the same day; some cases require further observation or an additional assessment step.

What happens after I submit an appointment request?

The process begins when you submit a request or contact us by phone. Our coordination team will reach out to arrange a suitable assessment appointment. No diagnosis is made at this stage; the clinical evaluation takes place during your physician consultation.

Do I need to provide detailed medical information on the form?

No. Basic contact details, your area of interest, and a brief note are sufficient. We do not request detailed medical history, diagnostic information, or identification numbers. A comprehensive assessment is conducted during your in-person consultation.

02

Treatment Suitability & Planning

Information about personalised planning and suitability assessment.

How is treatment suitability determined?

Suitability is established following a physician assessment. During the consultation, your skin type, concerns, medical history, and expectations are considered together. Not every treatment is appropriate for every patient — this is normal and expected.

What does a personalised plan mean?

At DERAVIA, standard protocols are not applied uniformly. Your physician creates a plan tailored to examination findings, your skin tolerance, and your goals. The plan may be phased, may begin conservatively, or in some cases observation may be recommended instead of active treatment.

Is every treatment suitable for everyone?

No. Indications for laser, medical aesthetic, and other dermatological treatments vary from person to person. Contraindications, skin type, active skin conditions, and expectation levels are assessed by your physician. Suitability is confirmed following clinical evaluation.

03

Condition-Specific Assessment

General information about acne, laser, medical aesthetics, and hair assessment.

What is the process for acne concerns?

Acne assessment examines lesion type, distribution, and the level of active inflammation. Active acne management and scar treatment are addressed in separate phases. A management plan is developed individually by your physician; response times vary from person to person.

Is assessment required before laser treatment?

Yes. Before laser procedures, skin type, lesion characteristics, and overall suitability are evaluated by your physician. Session frequency, intervals, and parameters are planned according to your individual skin profile. Suitability is confirmed following clinical assessment.

How is medical aesthetic treatment planned?

In medical aesthetic planning, skin health and patient expectations are first assessed within a realistic framework. Your physician will discuss possible approaches, the process, and alternatives with you. Informed consent is an integral part of the plan. A measured, natural-looking approach is prioritised.

How does the initial hair loss assessment work?

Hair loss assessment examines the pattern of shedding, scalp condition, and possible underlying causes together. Accurate diagnosis forms the foundation of planning. The process may require patience and ongoing follow-up; outcomes vary individually.

04

Follow-Up & Communication

General information about post-treatment follow-up and communication.

How is follow-up planned after treatment?

Follow-up appointments are scheduled by your physician according to the agreed plan. Skin or scalp response is monitored together; the plan may be adjusted or paused if needed. Regular follow-up supports safe and effective progress.

What should I do if I am concerned about something after a procedure?

You can discuss any concerns at your scheduled follow-up appointment. If you experience an urgent or serious medical situation, please call emergency services. This page does not replace individual medical advice; we encourage you to contact the clinic regarding personal concerns.
