A boutique café at street level in Nişantaşı. The room moves inward from the shopfront in a single language.
The street face was taken as a threshold that invites inward. The plan was set on a short circulation and a clear seating arrangement.
Fixed furniture, lighting and material were chosen from the same palette. The aim was not to attract attention; to leave a quiet interior in the tempo of the street.

Decisions
Three decisions that held this work.
01
Making the shopfront a threshold
The street front is not a display; it is a passage that invites inward. The room moves in a single language.
02
Shortening the circulation
The plan was set on a short entry and a clear seating arrangement. There is no extra corridor.
03
Reducing the fixed pieces
Furniture, lighting and material come from the same palette. The aim is not to catch the eye; it is to stand quiet.
