A house in Cihangir where an existing flat was quietly renewed. Ceiling, light and parquet were held; life was set to today’s rhythm.
First the openings the building already carried were read. The high ceiling and long windows set the tempo of the house; new decisions were placed without breaking them.
The palette was kept spare: lime plaster, existing parquet, stone threshold and brass. The renovation is not a forced contrast between old and new; a continuation of the house’s own language.

Keeping the ceiling and the parquet
The high ceiling and the long windows set the tempo of the house. New decisions do not break them.

Renewing the threshold
A stone threshold and dark frames meet the existing parquet in the same language.

Limiting the palette
Lime plaster, parquet, stone and brass. The renovation is a continuation of the house’s own language.
