A quiet house on Burgazada that sits on the slope of the plot. Wood, stone and garden were held in the same language.
The house was left in the scale of the island. The shade of the pines and the path are part of the plan; the building is not a mass added to the garden.
Timber cladding, stone floor and plain frames. Details were kept few enough not to break the island’s tempo.

Holding the scale on the island
The house was left in the tempo of Burgazada. It sits on the slope of the plot; it is not a mass added to the garden.

Writing the path into the plan
The shade of the pines and the stone path are part of the house. Approach matters as much as the building itself.

Limiting the timber
Cladding, floor and frames come from the same family. Details stay few enough not to break the rhythm of the island.
