Quality
Quality is not a document on the wall. From drawing to tray, it is which dimension is written, at which station, on whose card.
Incoming / requirements
The job does not start at the machine. Drawing, material, and tolerance set to be written match first. Mismatched incoming does not reach the cell.
Which surface is datum and which dimension is critical are marked. Ambiguous box does not proceed to process card.
Bar, plate, or casting — record and label speak the same language as the drawing. Mixed stock is separated.
Diameter, length, and surface condition are roughly checked. Non-machinable incoming does not reach the machine.
In-process control
Control is not moved to a room after cutting. First part, tool change, and in-process sample sit in the same cell discipline.
Second part does not open until body or shaft is seen on the table. Approval is the lock on the card.
Written diameter and seat are taken again after new insert or drill.
Frequency is chosen by risky dimension. Not every part is measured; drifting dimension is cut at the station.
Measurement / test
Metrology is not a display lab. Granite, probe, and surface instruments close written geometry beside the part.

Diameter, length, seat, and step. Caliper, micrometer, gauge — written dimension in hand.

Hole pattern, position, and multi-surface body. CMM works in the same language as workholding reference.

Gasket, bearing, sealing. Roughness and form are written on the record — not guessed visually.
Documentation and traceability
Record is not inventing numbers. Which program, which lot, which dimension closed is readable on the tray.
Measurement plan
Critical boxes are written with which instrument checks them on first part.
First-article record
Approved geometry is the reference for serial card. Revision is a separate line.
Surface note
Gasket and bearing face do not close with "looks good" — they are written on the record.
Batch label
Material lot and operation travel with the tray. Mixed box is separated.
Program version
When toolpath changes, card reopens. Old version is not written to new tray.
Tray language
Label, measurement, and station close in the same short language. No record left in the field.
Pre-release verification
Final look is not rushed at the packing table. Written measurement, surface, and label stand together; if one is missing, batch stays on hold.
Critical diameter, seat, and position checked again before shipment.
Tool marks, burrs, and gasket plane visible on tray.
Measurement record and label sit on the same line as drawing revision.
Mixed, missing, or unmarked parts do not go in the crate.
